TRAIL MAP

Skylawn Memorial Park:

Walk or ride cemetery roads for extensive views of the entire Bay Area.
1.1miles

1.1 miles one-way

DIFFICULTY: Moderate

From: CA 92

To: end of Lifemark Road in San Mateo

This is the only section of the Bay Area Ridge Trail that passes through a cemetery! The trail segment was dedicated so it can eventually link future Ridge Trail from the south (near Skyline Boulevard) and the San Francisco Peninsula Watershed Trail. A short gap now exists between the cemetery and the watershed. Enjoy stunning views of the ocean and bay as you walk or ride the cemetery roads.

The Skylawn Memorial Park Ridge Trail section shown on this map is open during regular business hours (approximately 7AM – 6PM). The SF Peninsula Watershed Trail section shown on this map is only accessible by registration, with a docent-led group. Check availability and reserve your spot on a scheduled public hike or bike ride at the SFPUC’s Fifield-Cahill Ridge Trail page.

Elevation Gain/Loss 235 feet/15 feet one-way
