Climb your way up to Bald Mountain to take in impressive views of other Bay Area peaks including Mount Diablo, Mount Tamalpais, and Mount St. Helena.
Starting near Sugarloaf State Park’s visitor center, hikers, bikers, and equestrians begin their ascent towards Bald Mountain. This trail steadily climbs up the mountain with some steeper sections, but visitors can rest with benches and enjoy beautiful views along the way. After making it to the peak of Bald Mountain (2,729’ elevation), on a clear day you can see the Sierras to the East, San Francisco Bay and Mount Diablo to the South, Mount Tamalpais to the South-West, the Coastal Range and the Pacific to the West, and Mount Saint Helena to the North.
