SOLD OUT! Thursday, December 12, 2pm Join us for an exclusive Presidio Tour including a hike, museum visit and reception.
The tour begins at the newly-built Presidio Visitor Center complete with shopping and interactive exhibits. From the visitor center, our friends at the Presidio Trust will lead us on an easy 3-mile tour of Presidio highlights such as the quiet beauty of the Cemetery Overlook, exhilarating views at Inspiration Point and Andrew Goldworthy’s awesome art installation, Spire.
The hike will conclude with a self-guided tour through the Society of California Pioneers Museum new historical exhibit “The Gilded Age of Golden Gate Park”. This exhibition kicks off the city-wide celebration of Golden Gate Park’s 150th birthday and includes rarely-seen images gleaned from family albums and nineteenth-century studio catalogues.
Afterwards head back to the Ridge Trail building for drinks, appetizers and holiday cheer starting at 5pm.
THE TOUR:
Time: 2pm – 5:00 pm (Hike will start at 2:30 if you want to skip the Visitor Center)

Hike Difficulty: Easy
Hike Miles: 3 miles round trip. The terrain is a mix of pavement and dirt.
Hike Ascent / Descent: 400’ ascent / 400’ Descent
Hike Time: 90 – 120 minutes
Please Bring: Clothing for hiking / walking (bring layers and rain gear!), Water bottle, snacks, and small day pack
