he Bay Area Ridge Trail ultimately will be a 550+ mile trail encircling the San Francisco Bay along the ridge tops, open to hikers, equestrians, mountain bicyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts of all types. So far, we have dedicated over 310 miles of trail for use by Bay Area residents, now and forever.

This 1.3 mile loop trail is located on a trail easement on a private ranch. It is accessed from the segment of Ridge Trail in Skyline Wilderness Park, a 4 mile trip. (This is also called the Skyline Trail). The entire round trip from Skyline is about 10 miles, with about 600 feet of elevation change.
The trail was damaged during the 2007-2008 winter months, but has been restored by Ridge Trail volunteers, the Napa County California Conservation Corps, and Council Trail Steward John Aranson. According to John, the trail is now "in better shape than ever." Now is a great time to hike or ride this section of the Ridge Trail!
