From Camp to Canyon through San Francisco

Sunday, April 22, 2018 – You are invited on a spectacular hike through San Francisco! The 9-mile hike will depart from the historic Presidio on Sunday morning and take you on the Ridge Trail through some of San Francisco’s amazing open spaces and to the top of Twin Peaks! The hike will follow the Ridge Trail through the Presidio from the Rob Hill Campsite, through the Oak Woodlands in Golden Gate Park, onto the Mt. Sutro Open Space Preserve, and over Twin Peaks to connect to the Creeks to Peaks Trail that descends down through Glen Park Canyon. A MUNI bus will bring the hikers back to a stop not far from the Presidio from where they will transfer to a Presidigo bus or rejoin the Ridge Trail to get back to the Rob Hill Campsite. The hike and ascent of Twin Peaks (922′) is moderately strenuous.

This event is part of the Find Your Local Wild Hiking Series, a partnership between the Bay Area Ridge Trail and Whole Foods Market.
