Signature Ridge Trail event provides a day of fun and raises money to complete the trail. .jpg) The Bay Area Ridge Trail Council hosts its annual Ridge to Bridge in Marin County every spring, featuring spectacular views of the Pacific coastline, the Marin Headlands, Sausalito, the Bay, San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. On April 26 participants will meet near the Golden Gate Bridge and take buses north, and hike south back to the bridge. Volunteer leaders accompany each group. The 13 and 20 mile hikes are completely FULL, as are the wait lists for these hikes. The 5:30am 30 mile hike is full, but we are still accepting wait list registration for this hike. NEW! Bicyclists will join the event, with 2 distances to choose from. Riders will meet in Tennessee Valley and take a bus to their start point. Help Raise Funds to Complete the Ridge Trail and help California State Parks Participants can join the ATHON, and HELP US RAISE EVEN MORE for the Ridge Trail and California State Parks. Our State Parks have had huge budget cuts this year! Each year we make a contribution to the local park support group. Ask your friends to sponsor you at $1, $5, or $10 per mile. Raise $50 or more and get the new (2008) Official Guide to the Bay Area Ridge Trail by Jean Rusmore. The very top fundraisers will have a chance to win a 5-day stay at the Mexican Inn in Baja California. Other top fundraisers will win prizes donated by REI, as well as tickets for the Mountain Play's "Wizard of Oz" production. Donations can be made online here, or you can download the sponsorship form. Volunteer It takes many people to make this event run smoothly.
