Presidio Trust: Presidio of San Francisco

Join the Presidio Trust for a day of stewardship along Presidio trails, forests, and pathways. Activities will include maintaining trails, tending trees in adjacent reforestation zones, and restoring nearby native habitat.

Sutro Stewards: Mount Sutro Open Space Reserve

Devote your morning to trail work, continuing the new Clarendon Trail Project – future Bay Area Ridge Trail. Be prepared for some fun and rewarding labor! After trail work, the festivities continue with lunch, refreshing beverages, and a National Trails Day raffle.

Student Conservation Association: ConSERVE Bay Area – Stern Grove

The Ridge Trail goes right through San Francisco’s beloved outdoor music venue- Stern Grove. On National Trails Day, volunteers will restore and beautify the Grove as part of SCA’s National Trails Day efforts coast to coast. This event is part of SCA’s continuing ConSERVE Bay Area initiative, devoted to mobilizing young people in support of the Bay Area’s public lands.

Marin County Parks:Loma Alta Open Space

Support the team in building drainage features, repairing eroded tread, and brushing the trail corridor along the 680 Trail, a community connector to the Bay Area Ridge Trail. Volunteers ages 12 and up are welcome.

California State Parks: Mount Tamalpais State Park

Join California State Park rangers and volunteers as we work on trail maintenance and clearing the Redwood Creek Trail, a connector to the Bay Area Ridge Trail in Mount Tamalpais State Park. Volunteers ages 12 and up are welcome.

Join the Ivan Dickson Trail Maintenance team for National Trails Day with East Bay Regional Park District in the very popular Mission Peak Preserve. Project may include helping with pruning, erosion control, and repairing trail tread.

Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy:Connemara Trail at Milagra Ridge

Help work on this new trail that connects the community to Milagra Ridge. The work will include activities such as building drainage features, repairing eroded tread, and brushing the trail corridor. Volunteers ages 14 and up are welcome. Project work will be moderately strenuous.

Solano Land Trust: Lynch Canyon Trail Run

On National Trails Day, trail runners gather to test themselves on Lynch Canyon's terrain. While trail run distances are challenging with a respectable amount of elevation gain, participants are treated to frequent aid stations and cheerful volunteers. The event also includes a free 2.5 mile community hike to encourage everyone to participate and enjoy some of the great outdoor recreation that Solano County has to offer.
